Our Story

A Wooden House, a Working Coast, a Simple Idea.

Cook seafood with care, keep the room warm, and let the sea do the rest.

Why Here

Close Enough to Bangkok. Far Enough to Slow Down.

Baan Talay grew from the idea that seafood tastes best when the journey from catch to kitchen is short. Our location near Bang Khun Thian keeps us close to local suppliers and close to the water.

The Catch

Season First. Menu Second.

We buy for quality rather than uniformity. Some days the prawns are exceptional. Some days it is squid, crab or line-caught fish. Our menu leaves room for what the sea is giving us.

The Craft

Thai Coastal Soul. Japanese Counter Discipline.

The flavors remain Thai and coastal, but the counter borrows the focus and precision of Japanese seafood bars: careful knife work, clean seasoning, deliberate fire and respect for the ingredient.
